Definitely the prettiest doe in the herd, Kickoff finished her championship early in 2004 by going GCH at her first three shows, including the highly competitive VSDGA show in Harrisonburg, VA, under Steve Richter.   Kickoff is long, level and strikingly beautiful and correct. She has a well extended fore udder and a very wide rear udder with teats being a   perfect size and shape.  She appraised with an "E" in head, back and rump. Kickoff peaks at about 14 lbs of milk.   Kickoff  has many  sons working in other show herds.    She freshened March 29, 2007, with twin  doe kids sired by RomulusBoth freshened this year with lovely udders and we have retained one of them.
Shown only once in 2007, Kickoff went 2nd of 4 entries in the challenge class (behind Klassic)  in a very close placing.  The Kickoff-Klassic team then captured 1st place in the huge dam and daughter class, and went on to be part of our 1st place dairy herd at the show.
Kickoff who is now 8 yrs of age,  was bred to Cherry Glen Abraham Rushkin and freshened with quads!    This pregnancy was quite a drain on our old girl, but we are hoping she will be in good enough condition to make it one last time to the National Show.   Kickoff is still as sound as ever with good feet and rear leg angulaton.

We just love this doe!  Klassic's name suits her to a "T". She is long, board-level and elegant and, as a sixth freshener,  is still standing on very strong feet and legs.  Klassic has an extremely soft pliable mammary system that is very well attached and totally fills her escutcheon.   She never has difficulty "walking around" her filled udder at shows and remains "level while on the move". Klassic is one of the most powerful does in our herd, having tremendous bone size without sacrificing any dairy character.    Her show record for 2004 was next to perfect!  She went first place almost every time out in 2004 and celebrated the end of that  show season  by going GCH and BIS to earn her first milking leg!   In 2005,  Klassic unfortunately suffered a severe case of mastitis halfway through the  season.  This brought her winnings to an abrupt halt.  In 2006, Klassic's udder  returned to an almost normal capacity.  We were elated when Klassic placed 4th in a huge,  strong class of 4 yr olds at the 2006 National Show!

2007 was Klassic's year to shine!  She couldn't have looked better and we wish the National Show had been closer.  Klassic  was shown only three times, going GCH, BOB and Best Doe in Show under Sally Callahan, and GCH and BOB under Steve Richter, and finally GCH, BOB and BIS, again with Steve Richter judging.

Klassic is now called our "SUPER MOM".  Having been stingy with doe kids until last year when she had two, Klassic this year presented us with good-sized quad does on April 23.  This is the first time in Munchin'Hill's history that we have ever had quad does.

Peek-a-Boo is an incredibly  tall, long-boned, massive, "necky" and dairy five-year old .  One of the smoothest does in the herd, Peek-a-boo has tremendous  length of body and  a wonderfully attached udder which is wide and well blended into the escutcheon.  Her teats are perfectly plumb.   The only things we don't like about Peek-a-boo are her homely face and her color.  She was undefeated in her class at every regional show in 2004, and in 2005,  continued to show extremely well, capturing her first milking leg.  Peek, in 2006,  was again first in her class EVERY time shown, including at the National Show in Indianapolis where she was chosen 1st place 3 yr old and 1st udder in her class!  Peek  then completed her championship at her last regional show of the 2006 season when she was also selected as  Best Doe in Show!  She is a very easy going, sweet-natured lady  who scored  excellent in all four categories at two years young!    We are excited watching  Peek-a-boo as she continues to mature and blossom.
We were so pleased when Peek  freshened this year with a set of lovely triplet does sired by Rushkin!  They will remain with us and their pictures will soon be posted on our Junior Doe page.

Shown only once as a kid (1st and RJrCH), Annie is very well blended, board-level, has a long bone pattern and is quite stylish.   Annie's fore udder is nicely extended, scoring a "42" in LA.   She peaked at eight and a half lbs of milk as a yearling.   Her highlight for 2004 was at the  National show where Annie was 2nd of 56 in the milking yearling class behind an "almost 2 year old"  in first place.  In 2005 Annie freshened with a single kid so only milked about what she had as a yearling.  In spite of this she did exceptionally well at all her 2005 shows and is now a permanent champion. In 2006,  our well-mannered Annie freshened with triplets and milked a consistent 17 lbs of milk per day . We  retained Annie's two daughters,, Allegheny and A  La Carte,  sired by Etienne. We repeated this breeding and Annie kidded in March  of 2007 with handsome quad bucks.  Three have been sold.  One remains with us.
All of Annie's kids so far, have consistently been very pretty, correct and typey.
Annie kidded June 1st with a single buck.   Hopefully we will get some current pictures of her up on the website once she udders up.
We are planning on taking Annie to Nationals in Louisville.

Allegheny was shown only once as a junior doe and that was at the 2006 National Show where she placed 3rd in a class where about 70 Intermediate kids were entered.  The judge commented that Allegheny had the best general appearance in the entire class.
Allegheny is a board-level,
extremely long-bone patterned two-year old with angularity throughout.   Since she is so very long and tall, Allegheny  will be slow to mature and develop her barrel.  In 2007, Allegheny  freshened with twin does sired by Romulus.  One was purchased by Cody Welch and has already earned her dry leg.  The other daughter, Aria,  has freshened with a lovely mammary system and has grown  into the tallest and dairiest  of our '08 yearlings .
Now that Allegheny has two freshenings under her belt, all we can say is "WOW".   Allegheny's udder does not have much "meat"  in it,  so she needs to be quite full of milk to see her awesome attachment.   In the tradition of both her dam and granddam, Allegheny has a tremendous will to milk, producing just shy of 18 # day as of April 11th.
Allegheny easily carried and delivered good-sized  triplet bucks sired by Rushkin.    Two have been sold and one remains with us. The bucks  are all good-lookers so we plan to repeat this breeding in the Fall!  Her first doe will stay with us.

Just as does her sister, A La Carte has a very fancy,  well-attached and productive, soft  mammary system.  She is very correct and smoothly blended throughout and,  because of her depth of barrel, is more mature-looking Allegheny.  Both A La Carte and Allegheny are truly an awesome pair of siblings!
Shown only once in 2007, A La Carte was an easy 1st place, and now in 2008 has already gone 1xGCH and 1xResGCH.
A La Carte really is the whole package. We love her general appearance and show ring presence.
Now at two years of age, Carte continues to be a no-fuss and productive doe whom we enjoy showing.
Her '08 daughter, A La Venture,  was purchased by Josh Cox and Lennie-Rae Van Gorder.   Look for Venture  at the Nationals!

A huge yearling, Aria is  tall, gangly  and extremely  deep bodied with wonderful dairy character.  She does exhibit some hockiness, but is cut very high and wide up into her escutcheon.  With the exception of her head which couldn't be prettier, Aria is very similar to her sire in conformation.
Aria kidded March 30th with twins.   Her udder is plastered on and her teats hang perfectly plumb.  The rear udder attachment is absolutely perfect  in height,  width and blending into the escutcheon.  Aria's fore udder is strong and smooth and should extend further as her mammary system matures. She produces about 9 #/day.  Aria does not enjoy being shown and needs much work in being taught to walk  without balking.

While  a tad finer-boned than her dam, Kickback is an uphill, very dairy yearling who is generous in the milk pail, yielding almost 12 lbs/day.  She  has a good dairy disposition and concerns herself with eating and producing milk rather than fighting as many Alpines do.   We retained this very agreeable young doe because of her tremendous area of udder attachment,  nicely-shaped plumb teats,  high rear udder and excellent  fore udder extension.  Kickback has a nicely-blended correct front end, nice spring and depth of rib and a strong straight back.  She  will need a year or two more of growth and development to mature into a fine show doe.
Kickback has not been shown yet this year.
